依頼したり、褒めたり、注意したり、、、。ケンも上司として色々大変。「見積もりを必ずもらっておくようにね」 は、念を押す際によく使う表現ですが、これも重要です。
でも、「終わったら飲みに行こう！」 って、ケン、仕事を離れれば、ホセとはやっぱりいい間柄なんだね。

“make sure”で「確認する」という意味になります。また、「念を押す」、「確かめる」といったニュアンスがあります。部下に出した指示について「○○の件、どうなってる？確認したいんだけど」というときなどに使える便利なフレーズです。
adviser これまでに学習した“Please”や“Let me”を使って、“Please make sure ～.”「必ず～してください」、 “Let me make sure ～.”「～を確かめさせてください」などと話してみましょう。

価格表をもらっておいてね。
Jose : Of course. ホセ : もちろんです。
Ken : Also, please make sure to get a quotation. ケン : それと、正式な見積もりを必ずもらっておくようにね。
Jose : Got it. ホセ : 了解しました。
Ken : Do you think you can do that by 6pm? ケン : 午後6時までにできそう？
Jose : I can do that. ホセ : できます。
Ken : Great. Let's go have a drink after work. ケン : よかった。仕事が終わったら飲みに行こう。
Jose : Sure, why not? ホセ : ああ、もちろん！

adviser 欧米社会では、仕事とプライべートの間には明確な一線が引かれています。日本の会社のように仕事が終わった後も、上司が部下を連れて飲食しながら夜遅くまで付き合わせるということはありません。ですので、外国人の部下に誘いを断られても、気を悪くしないようにしましょう。逆に、外国人から誘われたときは、「断ったら相手が気を悪くしないかな」などと気遣う必要性は特にありません。
